Wow..I never realized that if you cooked the chicken upside down it would turn pink. Weird.

I might challenge the idea that there is an "upside down" to cooking a chicken. I prefer to cook mine breast-side down to keep the white meat as moist as possible. I feel the only reason to cook it breast-side up is if you want browned skin. Does this help recify having your family laugh at you? I hope so.

I agree. I had no way of knowing that you could possible cook a chicken upseide down.
